The Wonderful World of 2 Boys!...And a Joel!

We thought we would get a start on Jackson's potty traninig since we are already working on it with Tyson!

Well, what a great weekend. It was full as usual but its always nice to spend time together just having fun. On Friday we were all excited to take Tyson to the hay maze its a huge garden centre that has a maze made out of hay but when we got there it was closed! So we had a bit of a problem on our hands since we told him we were going for a "fun day" to "run fast" so being it was 8:00pm we ended up taking him to the Burger King playground...cheesy I know but he had a blast and i had a chocolate shake! Then today we took him to the theatre b/c the christian bookstore in town was showing Gideon the Tuba Warrior. It was funny and Tyson did great in there even though he was so tired.
In other family news...potty training is still a work in progress but he is getting there. if only he would tell me "poopie" before he went in his diaper we would be miles ahead! However, this potty thing has opened a whole new can of worms! A fun little toy called the Toilet Flusher! He loves it he says good bye waves and even blows kisses! But it like when you hear the words "goodbye" everything turns into slow motion and no matter how hard I try i can't get to the bathroom fast enough before he flushes something down! Yesterday we bought him a little car garage kinda like that old school fisher price one with the ramp and the elevator and stuff. Well, it comes with about 10 little plastic signs that you can put up around the garage...let's just say his are missing! As long as he doesnt send Joel's wedding band down there! Well boring I know but that about sums up our weekend. I'll try and post when more exciting things happen!

Haha...adventures in Potty Training!! Zayne can say poopy bum, and *sometimes* she will say it right before she takes a dump in the tub...but sometimes she just says it for the heck of it, maybe because she likes to see us all get excited and scramble to take her out and put her on the potty.
I have another potty story that makes me laugh: Ok, dad has a bunch of toys in his office for the kids - one morning, before taking the kids to class, they were playing there as usual. I was outside the office talking to Mr. Brunelle and Kent...all of a sudden, I notice it's very quiet in the back room. I look, no kids. I look again and see that my dad left the bathroom door open! Panic. I run in and find the 2 of them around the toilet, giggling and DRIPPING WET. I open the toilet to find they had filled it with Fisher Price Little People!! Yuck. It was a good thing my dad flush!! I brought them to nursery and was like, "sorry McAuley is all wet, he was playing in Pastor's toilet!"...LOL!!

I laughed at the pic of you and Tyson baking or whatever you were doing. Because I just had my first experience letting Shana help me make cookies! She kept eating the chocolate chips and was get frustrated because she was trying to stir the batter and it was a little to thick and she wasn't strong enough. Needless to say I ended up doing it myself and she enjoyed the results! And yes, Chris shares his beloved cookies with his daughter - she has him wrapped around her little finger!

Man Joel. Letting yor kids flush stuff down the toilet for fun??!! Dude you guys need a Toys R Us or somthing out there, man. Just kidding. It's part of being a dad. Right now I can't fully open my mouth because Isaiah cut me with a sword during a battle the other day. Comes with the territory of raising sons!
